14 Things You Can Do During Your Quaran-Time
March 26, 2020

We get it. We miss the quaint walks through Southlake Town Square too. We’ll be back to normal soon, but in the meantime, there are still plenty of ways your favorite shops and restaurants can help you pass the time and fill your soul! (Many retailers are even offering Black-Friday-Level discounts AND free shipping so score while you can!). Here are some great examples:

#1 Focus on Health

Go on Athleta‘s website and have NEW spring outdoor wear shipped to your home (we <3 these Bermuda Trekkie shorts). Start going on long walks and hikes around your neighboorhood.

Power up and cleanse with a fresh juice from pressed juicery (available for pick up AND delivery!).

Can’t make it to lululemon for an in-store yoga class? No worries! Click here and try one of lululemon’s many online yoga classes – good for both beginners and downward facing dog connoisseurs.

#2 Brush Up on Your Cooking Skills

Pantry and fridge looking a little bare? Don’t stress! Barnes and Noble has an array of cookbooks to help you out! Five Ingredient Cookbook by Hannie P. Scott has hundreds of delicious and easy recipes using every day staples. Download a copy on your Nook or order online.

You can also check out Trader Joe’s website for fun and creative recipe ideas!

While you’re feeling inspired, go on William Sonoma’s website and use this opportunity to update your kitchen basics like these Walnut Wood Spoons. And speaking of kitchens….

#3 Organize Your Pantry

Good news! The Container Store is still open with modified hours OR you can simply order online. Basically, we have no excuses. Roll up your sleeves and tackle the kitchen pantry project you’ve been meaning to do ever since you found the dusty Christmas candy in there last week. From iDesign Linus Kitchen bins to the Copco Double Lazy Susan, you’ll be able to easily find what you need (and don’t need) to make your next gourmet meal for your homebound family.

#4 Send Love

Let someone know you’re thinking about them and brighten their day! Sugarboo & Co. carries a beautiful line of Air Mail Bar Necklaces for you to send to a special person in your life. Choose from “Loved”, “Adored”, “Grateful” or “Protected”, each necklace comes with a sweet message AND envelope for you to use to mail your gift.

Make someone’s day a little sweeter by going on Crumbl Cookies website or download the app and send them a box of freshly-baked, warm-on-arrival cookies!

(You can send some to yourself too. No judgement).

#5 Go Camping (in the Backyard)

Stock up on camping gear from Eddie Bauer and set up a perfect camping site…right in your own backyard! Enjoy a night under the stars with your little loved ones.

#6 Go on a Picnic

Now is the perfect time to gather up the family and dine al fresco! Order an outdoor blanket from Pottery Barn and grab some take out from your favorite Southlake Town Square eatery (rumor has it that Copeland’s famous spinach dip tastes even better under the sun!)

Click here to see a current list of Town Square restaurants who are currently offering to-go and delivery services.

#7 Practice Self Care

How often do we get the chance to wear revitalizing face masks in the middle of the work day? Take advantage of these makeup-free days and recharge your skin! Go on Origins website and use their Regimen Finder to find the perfect skin care routine for your skin type and needs.

Don’t forget to find some “me time” as well! Unwind and soak in a tub with a Twilight lavendar bath bomb from Lush and scrub on INDIE LEE De-Stress Body Wash from Bluemercury

#8 Give Back

Now is a great time to reach out and help those in need. Visit Kendra Scott’s Shop For Good online and purchase one of their Everlyne Friendship Bracelets for a special friend. Fifty percent of proceeds will benefit Feeding America®

#9 Organize Closets

Get your closets ready for the season! Visit The Container Store and stock up everything you need to kiss winter goodbye and say “hello” to spring! Place your cute sandals in Premium Stacking Shoe Bins and tuck away sweaters in their Taupe 6-Compartment Hanging Sweater Organizer.

#11 Journal

Use this time to do some self-reflection, jot down funny things your kids have said today, or simply journal your day-to-day activities. Let’s face it – we’re making memories right now and it’s a great time to put words to paper so we can reflect back on all of this one day. Perhaps even show it to our kids and grandkids!

#12 Start a Book Club

Remember when you and your friends talked about starting a book club? We can’t think of a better time to check that off your list! Order your pick of the week on Barnes and Noble and simply set up a Zoom meeting or FaceTime chat to have your discussion. BYOB, of course.

#13 Join a Wine Club

We’re gonna let you in on a little secret – Williams Sonoma has a wine club AND it starts as low as $90 for a 6-bottle shipment! Now is a great time to get aquainted with new wine selections. Click here to learn more about the program and sign up!

#14 Laugh and Have Fun

Let’s not forget to laugh and have fun! Times are stressful, but it’s important to remember to unwind and spend time with family. Francescas has some clever and imaginative games where you can make your own Escape Room in your home or battle it out among kids and parents over karaoke games. Ever wanted to pummel a family member with a stuffed burrito? Let out some friendly aggression with Throw Throw Burrito available at Barnes and Noble.

Remember this too shall pass and Southlake Town Square is still here to help you pass the time!

We can’t wait to see you on our sidewalks again soon!

XOXO
